Kurdistan parliament to form high negotiation committee between Baghdad and Erbil
ERBIL, August 6 (AKnews) Ė The Kurdistan Region's parliament will meet today with political parties, blocs and the opposition to discuss forming high negotiation committee between Erbil and Baghdad.
Media adviser of Kurdistanís parliament Tareq Jawhar said: ďThe aim of the meeting is to exchange views and improve a draft law of establishing a private committee under the name of the high negotiation committee with the central government in Baghdad."
Jawhar added that Kurdistanís parliament received a letter from the region's Council of Ministers suggesting the formation of the committee. Therefore parliament on July 31 decided to hold a meeting with political parties and fractions because of the importance of the subject.
It is expected that the regionís vice president, prime minister and his deputy will participate in the meeting.
