Proposed economic expert, Abdul Rahman, the star, holding an economic conference on the possibility of Iraq's entry into the WTO and to identify mechanisms that qualify to join, adding that the conditions of accession require the presence of development in all economic sectors. Said the star that Iraq needs approximately (10-15) years to be eligible to join the World Trade Organization a result of poor infrastructure and increase production costs and scarcity of raw materials used in local industry, as well as weak competition of local products to foreign countries. He added, must hold an economic conference expanded includes a selection of experts and specialists in the economic field to discuss how to join Iraq to the World Trade Organization and gains international through the development of mechanisms and plans for the advancement of economic sectors and creating sustainable development in the country. He pointed out: that the WTO recognizes the competition and Iraq today lacks the domestic goods that can compete with foreign goods, due to the suspension treated by industrial and deteriorating infrastructure.
