Reform paper is attempt to create new crisis, says Iraqiya
BAGHDAD, July 7 (AKnews) - Iraqiya List led stated today that the political reform paper that the National Alliance (NA) intends to complete is an attempt to escape the current crisis and create another crisis.
Moqtada Sadr u Iyad AllawiIraqiya also said that it has been demanding reforms since the government was formed but nothing has been achieved.
Leader of the bloc Talal al-Zobaei said: "The political parties that met in Erbil, Najaf and Mosul are continuing their efforts to prepare the interrogation files."
Iraqiya, the Sadrists and the Kurdish Blocs Coalition (KBC) decided to question Maliki and withdraw confidence from him in the Council of Representatives, but the efforts stalled due to a lack of support from most of the parties of the NA and Maliki's supporters.
The Sadrists recently cancelled their support for withdrawing confidence from Maliki, while the latter's critics assure their efforts will continue according to the constitution.
The political crisis increased in the country after the issuance of an arrest warrant against Vice President Tareq al-Hashemi, the issuance of a decision to dismiss Deputy Prime Minister Saleh al-Mutlaq and the crisis in Baghdad and Erbil over oil.
