Baghdad {: News} Euphrates Vice President former leader of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, Adel Abdul Mahdi, the importance of strengthening the Iraqi currency and maintain the independence of the monetary policy of the Central Bank.

A statement by the office of Abdul-Mahdi said on Saturday that "Abdul-Mahdi received a number of state officials to discuss the latest developments in the country in the political, economic and service."

He added, "Abdul-Mahdi discussed with the Central Bank Governor Sinan Shabibi economic developments taking place in the country and the measures the central bank to raise the value of the Iraqi dinar.

"We also discussed with the Governor Abdul-Mahdi, Najm al-Din of Kirkuk, cream the importance of service projects and urban development in the province," adding that "Abdul-Mahdi stressed the need to provide better services to the people of the province."

He said, "Abdul-Mahdi received the Minister of Water Resources Latif Rashid, the former two sides discussed the fact Allarroaii in the country and how to maintain the increase of water resources including reflect positively on the development of the agricultural situation in the country."
