Allawi's coalition threatens: We will teach the Dawa Party, a lesson in democracy

Shafaq News/ The coalition of Iraqia, led by former Prime Minister Iyad Allawi, vowed on Saturday, to "teach" the Dawa Party led by Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki "a lesson" in democracy through the probable questioning to be taken place in parliament for the speaker Osama al-Nujaifi.

The MPs of the Law State coalition are seeking to withdraw the confidence from Nujaifi on the basis that he "misses" the efficiency in the management of the Council of Representatives meetings.

But Nujaifi said in a press conference held yesterday and attended by " Shafaq News" that he was ready for questioning and he will respect any decision, even if it is about his dismissal.

The spokesman of the Iraqia Haider Mulla said in an interview with " Shafaq News", "we will teach the Dawa Party, a lesson in democracy and we will deal positively," with the request of questioning al-Nujaifi .

Approximately 25 members requested to convene a special meeting to show , "the constitutional violations " of the President of parliament, Osama al- Nujaifi .

"We respect the constitutional options, but the other parties (law state) have to understand democracy with two directions not with one direction." Al Mulla said, adding "When democracy serve their interests they are Democrats and when the Constitution does not serve their interests they become dictators."

When he was asked about the position of the coalition Iraqia in case of Najafi opponents vowed in favor of his dismissal from his position, Mulla said, "We will respect any decision issued under the dome of the parliament, whether dismissal of the President of parliament or the questioning of the prime minister (Maliki) and the withdrawal of confidence from him."
