Central Bank: An expanded investment fund to finance projects

Khandan – The Central Bank of Iraq adopted the draft of establishing a joint fund for investment in which all government and private banks will participate in order to provide large sums to fund projects throughout the country.

Central Bank Governor Ali Al-Alak told Al-Sabah newspaper that the central bank is currently working on the project. It is expected to start this year and establish a joint investment fund in which all government and private banks will participate.

Al-Aalak said the bank is continuing its efforts to support and improve the country’s financial and economic situation in the interest of the public as well as the economic crisis in the country due to the drop in oil prices.
