ERBIL, June 20 (AKnews) - Today's session of the Iraqi parliament has been postponed until Sunday due to the removal of concrete security walls from the entrance to the parliament.

The second deputy of the Iraqi parliament speaker Arf Taifur told AKnews: "Concrete walls of parliament have been removed [due to a] government decision in the last two days.

“Because of the government's conduct the parliament session has been postponed which is not in best interest of the country."

Parliament staff and civil servants protested against the government's action by leaving the building today, added Taifur.

Taifur stated that the government agreed to return the walls to their place before Saturday.
