Baghdad (AIN) –The official spokesperson of the Iraqiya Slate, Haider al-Mula, mentioned "The Prime Minister, Nouri al-Maliki, is begging the MPs' signatures to keep his post."

In a press statement received by AIN, he said "Seven of the IS MPs who did not sign the request to topple Maliki have visited Maliki," noting that "Two of them signed the request but suspended their signatures due to Maliki's pressure."

"It is pitiful to deal with the issue in this attitude because it makes us insist on withdrawing confidence from Maliki's government who lost the simplest principles of the national partnership," he added.

"The one who wants to keep his post must get the support of the people and the large blocs," he pointed out, assuring that "Without this support no official can keep his post." /End/
