11 Militias of Hashd Al-Shaabi Killed and Wounded South of Mosul
11 member of Hashd al-Shaabi militia were killed and wounded in the village of Ain al-Jahsh in the Shura district, south of Mosul, a police source said on Wednesday.
"Two gunmen opened fire on a bus that was transporting troops from Hashd al-Shaabi in the village of Ain al-Jahsh," Sufyan Salah, an officer from Nineveh police told BasNews, adding that the incident killed two militias and injured nine others.
"The members of the Hashd militia in the bus were on vacation and on the way back to their provinces," said Salah.
He stated "the security forces surrounded the scene of the incident and imposed a security cordon and a temporary curfew to search for the perpetrators of the attack."
