oqtada al-Sadr calls for Maliki to resign

Erbil, June 4 (PNA) - called on the Iraqi Shiite leader Muqtada al-Sadr, Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki to resign "for the sake of the Iraqi people and political
partners."

He said al-Sadr, who left Iran to Najaf, said in a statement released by his office in Najaf Monday, "Complete Jamilk announced your resignation for the people, but does not want a living and for the partners, but do not want partnership."

Sadr's call comes at a time was the political crisis in Iraq, an unprecedented level since the beginning of chapters on the eve of the U.S. withdrawal before six months, has become paralyzed in the development of state institutions and threatening the security and the economy.

After the crisis revolves around the Prime Minister accused of exclusivity to power, has taken in recent weeks, a more serious turn with the introduction of the issue of withdrawal of confidence from al-Maliki, Shiite personal window, which has ruled the country since 2006.

Supports Sadr, who is his current 40 seats out of 325 in Parliament to call for the withdrawal of confidence from the al-Maliki.

And demanded that "the (alternative) will be able to promote national cohesion and building a civil state, democracy and respect for the Constitution and work Bmvrdath and delivery of services and the elimination of corruption."

And requires a withdrawal of confidence from the al-Maliki, backing half plus one of the deputies.
