So there are a few juicy headlines... I am still amazed at everything going on over there - and people still (as late as last nite) e-mail me boo hooing about how it hasn't happened yet. I just comment on it - the mass of incredible news is just stunning. Iraq is moving forward with great speed.

Got some questions??

baxter says(7:08 PM):
?

jeffusa says to BGG(7:09 PM):
comment?

MrsBGG says to baxter(7:10 PM):
Go

Pablo says(7:10 PM):

MrsBGG says to jeffusa(7:10 PM):

baxter says(7:10 PM):
why would Iraq have refugees in Germany... crossing thru six countries and 2300 miles away?

jeffusa says to BGG(7:10 PM):
Tal Far is bigger than most people think.... it is 85% taken back.... it's a REAL BIG deal

paul-o says(7:10 PM):
?

jeffusa says to BGG(7:11 PM):
they expect that anytime

jxxl says(7:11 PM):
Yes, I do you understand what is meet by this. ways to implement mechanisms and instructions of the Central Bank on the currency window

MrsBGG says to jxxl(7:11 PM):
please use a ? thank you

jxxl says(7:12 PM):
?

BGG says to baxter(7:12 PM):
That is a truthful story - nothing there... going North into Europe is a common route out - typically for the more "well to do refugees" - why do you think he's telling them to come back??

goblio says(7:12 PM):
Excellent. Tal Far 85% taken. Loosing one city/town at a time until nothing more but hiding in holes.

MrsBGG says to Pablo(7:12 PM):
Go

Pablo says(7:12 PM):
We haven't had any formal news from the CBI over the last few weeks about the delete the zeroes program, are you still of the impression that they are going to go ahead once Mosul is finished?

MrsBGG says to goblio(7:13 PM):
Please use a ? for a question or comment and we will call on you, thank you

BGG says to Pablo(7:13 PM):
I can only go by their most recent commentary - all looks good from what they have said. Once this security "check box" is filled - we'll have to see what they do.

MrsBGG says to paul-o(7:13 PM):
Go

paul-o says(7:14 PM):
Why would it be logical for Iraq's RVed rate to come out lower than Kuwait's current rate when Iraq has so much more oil (and other resources) thank does Kuwait?

Elilali says(7:14 PM):
!

BGG says to paul-o(7:15 PM):
Logical - except oil resources and prices have zero to do with currency valuation - according to the IMF... don't ask me - ask them.

paul-o says(7:15 PM):
Then what's the driving factor?

Elilali says(7:16 PM):
?

BGG says to paul-o(7:17 PM):
Further - since the very definition of "currency" is a "promissary note" on the economy of a country. Ask the IMF

Pablo says(7:17 PM):
?

BGG says to paul-o(7:18 PM):
Truthfully - it's going to be what the world - ie, IMF, UN, WB wants it to be...

BGG says to paul-o(7:18 PM):
since...

each currency is limited by boundaries of acceptance. In Iraq's case - it is not internationally traded and therefore not accepted.

MrsBGG says(7:19 PM):
Okay there are 4 questions on deck, we will get to everyone...

BGG says to paul-o(7:19 PM):
until these world communities agree with Iraq - they won't be able to raise the value.

MrsBGG says(7:19 PM):
We will wait for Mr. BGG to finish

paul-o says(7:20 PM):
Is it possible that the rate will come out fairly high and then "float" as do ALL currencies that are internatoinally traded?

BGG says to paul-o(7:20 PM):
is this on the horizon - it sure looks promising... however, Iraq could "price" their currency at whatever they want... without international acceptance and support - who would buy it??

this one issue would make your exchanging your currency when the time comes - A NIGHTMARE!!

I doubt that will be the case. Great comment though.

paul-o says(7:21 PM):
thx

MrsBGG says to jxxl(7:23 PM):
GO

MrsBGG says to jxxl(7:24 PM):
Yes, I do you understand what is meet by this. ways to implement mechanisms and instructions of the Central Bank on the currency window

jxxl says(7:24 PM):

BGG says to goblio(7:26 PM):

Elilali says(7:26 PM):
BGG, just a comment. I think the article where Abadi called everyone back to Iraq is the best. They're not going back to live in shambles, and be afraid. They MAY even be flying back first class. That's one of the most positive bits I've seen in a long time. He's not saying "Hey come back, in about 3 years you'll be comfortable, and you can thrive." No, he's sayin "Come ohhn Cletus. Come back to Iraq, where the beer flows like wine." Absolutely huge.

BGG says to Elilali(7:26 PM):
These days - throw a rock in any direction and you hit a STUNNING NEWS PIECE.

Good insight on that though.

most people didn't realize Abadi wasn't talking to destitute travelers.

he's talking to the core of his culture.

jxxl says(7:27 PM):
? Ok, could/ you interput this for me, ways to implement mechanisms and instructions of the Central Bank on the currency window

BGG says to Elilali(7:27 PM):
and lots of them have money.

Elilali says(7:28 PM):
Right. I think Germany is moreso an example. He's just saying he doesn't want to recreate what happened to Syria, and that his people have every reason to come back. Extremely positive.

BGG says to jxxl(7:28 PM):
Well - obviously, they are still d

"discussing it"...

secondly - and VERY IMPORTANT - they are grapling with a "new way" of doing business at the CBI and related banks.

those are the biggest 2 take-aways.

MrsBGG says to Pablo(7:29 PM):
GO

Pablo says(7:29 PM):
When is this election is Kurdistan going to be? Is Barzani still insisting that the RV take place before he steps down?

BGG says to Pablo(7:30 PM):
I don't know WHERE you heard that - but wasn't here.

BGG says to Pablo(7:30 PM):
Sounds like Bruce on the "Late night CRAZY Call"...

Dinar Dave says(7:31 PM):
LOL

BGG says to Pablo(7:31 PM):
When Barzani steps down - I'll believe it.

Elilali says(7:31 PM):
we're just discussing friendly news articles here. No one is connected to the top. We're speculating based on news.

BGG says to Elilali(7:32 PM):
That is about the size of it.

AND...

there is no "top"

Elilali says(7:33 PM):
Just trying to help keep us on track.

BGG says to Elilali(7:33 PM):
anyone who says there is - is ALL WET...

we - as investors want to believe there is, someone - somewhere... but I doubt it.

Elilali says(7:33 PM):
I mean that more subjectively

BGG says to Elilali(7:33 PM):
"They" have pretty much showed us the outline.

and it's being worked out now. Let's hope they get the reform projects started soon. Because the beginning of the Iraq currency reform is when your life changes.

MrsBGG says(7:35 PM):
Are there any other questions?

MrsBGG says(7:35 PM):
or comments?

prs says(7:35 PM):
can you shed some light on art #3

MrsBGG says to prs(7:37 PM):
Discuss ways to implement mechanisms and instructions of the Central Bank on the currency window

https://www.dinarupdates.com/showthre...ank-on-the-cur this one?

prs says(7:37 PM):
mechanisims?

BGG says to prs(7:37 PM):
We already covered that...

1) Still discussing how to do it...

prs says(7:38 PM):
are they refering to exchanges I hope

BGG says to prs(7:39 PM):
2) and VERY IMPORTANT - they are grapling with a "new way" of doing business at the CBI and related banks (new ways of doing things at the CBI is REALLY GOOD for us)...

However, if they haven't even figured out how to do it - what chance do I have of knowing or explaining it??

Just the facts here at DU - just the facts.
