According to the Ministry in a statement, "The number of those released from the ministry's prisons through November of last year, a month in 2016 and covered by the general amnesty law amounted to 174 inmates, while the absolute number of them in the month of December of the same year amounted to 194 inmates, where the final total stood at last year, 368 inmates. "

He added that "those released in the month of January of the year 2017 amounted to 347 inmates, while the absolute number was released during the month of February of this year, 41 inmates."

The statement pointed out that "the final total for the number freed since the publication of the amnesty law in the Official Gazette on 26 September amounted to 756 inmates."
