Araji said, "We want to accept what is stated in the paper and the Declaration of intention not to implement the commitment of al-Maliki because the paper is submitted to the National Alliance and the latter is responsible for Maliki's nomination and the formation of the government."

He continued saying that al-Araji, "Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki is still the National Alliance candidate for the position and we believe that the problems of Iraq has not reduced to paper, all of Arbil, but the key to solving all problems."

The leaders agreed in a letter to the four eight demands to be implemented by 17 May to ensure the current support for the Maliki government.
