Communications Ministry announced Monday, reducing infrastructure charges by 25% in support of the development of the quality of communications in Iraq.

The Ministry said in a statement, the balance of news/copy, "given the importance and the role of telecommunications sector in citizen's life, held the Iraqi bodies operating in the telecommunications sector, represented by the Ministry of communications and information, communications and the mobile phone companies at the headquarters of the General company for telecommunication and post one Ministry of communication meeting to discuss public sector issues, chiefly discuss the price high government service providers that will ease the burden on citizens".

The statement said that "during the meeting, the Ministry has decided to reduce the fee structure to develop the quality of services within the telecommunications sector, and in the context of making prices and fees for government service providers more suited to rates and charges neighboring States."

"This step will help in moving forward in investment in third generation infrastructure and data transfer."
