The parliamentary Finance Committee Member said Jabbar Abadi, Saturday, the intention of the Committee put up special legislation regulating the work of the Government and private banks in Iraq.

Ibadi said in a press statement, that "the Commission intends to put forward legislation establishing banking mechanism dealing with Windows (credit and borrowing and other banking transactions), as well as allow for private banks and determine its mechanisms for assigning State banks."

"The limited private banks now sell Windows necessitating serious pause", noting that "the banking business in Iraq is not active and cannot rise to the evolution of the world", noting that "the coming days will see new legislation put the banking business and investment in Iraq."

Great article. In six plus years I have watched coming days evolve into something believable. Thank God the IMF is driving this bus and the banking/investment laws are an IMF requirement. When is the three plus dollar question.
