The Parliamentary Commission on Human Rights invited Saturday, civil society organizations, international organizations and the United Nations to support the views and proposals that would ripen law protecting diversity and prevent discrimination.

In a statement, the Committee said/scales news/copy, "whereas multinational Iraq and religions and creeds and cultures and is characterized by stability, where known human civilization tion beginnings in finest civilization known to man in order to preserve this heritage and to promote the principles of citizenship, social cohesion and peace-building", adding that "within the legislative initiatives of the Commission proposal has initiated legislation to protect diversity and prevent discrimination."


She explained that "the proposal comes to implement the Iraqi Constitution to prevent discrimination between Iraqi citizens in rights and duties regardless of sex, race, origin, colour, creed or belief or opinion".

She continued, that "the law is designed to protect the national diversity and of religious and cultural, linguistic and religious groups in order to achieve full equality for all Iraqi citizens."

The Committee drew attention to it "was the first reading of the proposed law," inviting civil society organizations, international organizations and the United Nations, to support the Human Rights Commission of the views and proposals that would ripen law because of its significant impact on humanitarian values and of national reconciliation in Iraq.
