Three presidencies will hold a meeting with the leaders of the blocks for "Search" legislative election law

Three presidencies held a meeting with leaders of political blocs to discuss the upcoming legislative elections in 2018, the law, while a senior political source pointed out that the meeting aims to develop a unified position of the Electoral Act.
A senior political source in an interview with (long-Presse), said that "three presidencies held at eight o'clock, on the evening of Sunday, meeting at the Peace Palace in Baghdad, with the leaders of political blocs, to discuss the upcoming legislative elections in 2018, the law," noting "The meeting was attended by President of the Republic Fuad Masum and Prime Minister Haidar al-Abbadi and Parliament Speaker Salim al-Jubouri, and most of the leaders of political and parliamentary blocs."
The source said in an interview with (long-Presse), "The meeting, which ended after midnight Sunday , and continued for more than four hours, was intended to develop a unified position of the parliamentary election law ," adding that "the meeting saw an exchange of views between the political blocs and the three presidencies in order to reach a consensus on the law. "
The political blocs have demanded in the past days to amend the existing election law by the formation of a new Electoral Commission under the supervision of the United Nations before proceeding to make any parliamentary or local elections, to ensure fairness.
