For his part, Abadi, the Iraqi prime minister during the conference, said that "a step back to the Sadrist movement, the National Alliance meetings, is a step towards the further build-up to achieve victories," he said. Abadi and gave thanks to Muqtada al-Sadr, he said, "and we send invitations to national cohesion and leave the political differences, and I thank Moqtada al-Sadr for his cooperation in this context." In turn, said Jaafar al-Moussawi, head of the delegation negotiating the Sadrist movement, during the press conference. "We moved the paper under the guidance of Moqtada al-Sadr, the 14-paragraph reform of the path of the National Alliance, was traded with all the blocks of the National Alliance." Al-Moussawi said, that "the presidency of the National Coalition today called for an emergency meeting, and discussed the paper which was to reach agreement," without clarifying the details of the agreement. Since the beginning of last March, Muqtada al-Sadr stepped up his positions against the government and the parliament, and called on his supporters to continue protests until we achieve demands, most notably referring to the corrupt judiciary, and an end to political quotas in the distribution of positions, and the formation of a government of technocrats.
