Jaafary, some political leaders discuss date of holding national meeting

Baghdad(AIN) –The head of the Iraqi National Alliance, Ibraheem al-Jaafary, discussed during phone calls with a number of political leaders holding the upcoming national meeting at the beginning of next May.
Astatement byJaafary'sofficereceived by All Iraq News Agency (AIN) cited "Jaafary received phone calls from the President, Jalal Talabani, the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, the President of Kurdistan Region, Masoud Barzani, theHead of the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council, Ammar al-Hakim, the head of the Iraqi National Congress, Ahmed al-Chalabi, and the head of Ahrar bloc, Baha al-Araji over holding the upcoming national meeting in Baghdad at the beginning of next May."
"During the calls, Jaafary stressed the necessity of adopting the dialogue to preserve the national unity and to eliminate the disputes," the statement added.
"Jaafary assured that what we lack is not the initiative but the will to solve the problems," the statement mentioned.
"Jaafary appreciated the efforts exerted to settle the disputes, expressing his respect for the various viewpoints of the political blocs," the statement concluded./End/
