Abadi: we held about 30 meetings with world leaders in New York

BAGHDAD / obelisk announced Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi, on Friday, all held about 30 meetings with world leaders during his participation in the meetings of the General Assembly of the United Nations in New York, confirming the existence of ready to provide sustained international support for Iraq, as he pointed to the need for significant efforts for the reconstruction of the liberated areas and the continued training of Iraqi forces.

Ebadi said in a televised speech after the conclusion of his visit to New York, and I followed, "obelisk", "We had about 30 meetings with world leaders who have expressed their admiration for the significant progress in Iraq and restore the confidence of the Iraqi security forces that have become fighting for the liberation of Mosul."

Abadi added that "there are willing to provide sustained international support for Iraq, and we need a big effort for the reconstruction of areas and the continued training of Iraqi forces," noting that "terrorism has become a big problem in the countries of the world and they considered that Iraq has gained tremendous capabilities in the fight against terrorists."

The Abadi's office announced Friday for the latter's return to Baghdad after the conclusion of his visit to New York to attend the meetings of the General Assembly of the United Nations.

And was launched in New York on Tuesday (20 September 2016), the work of the 71st session of the General Assembly of the United Nations with the participation of delegations from 193 countries are members of the international organization, including Iraq.
