Minister of agriculture: don't import urea

Agriculture Minister Falah Zaidan luhaybi that stop importing urea fertilizer material from the first day that began with the Basra plant production, denying some media reports on import from abroad despite available locally.


Said luhaybi for (News) that "the Ministry of agriculture received from Basra lab 220, 000 tons of urea and signed a new contract with them to purchase 150 thousand tons," indicating that "the problem plaguing the Ministry's transport machine specific areas."

He added that "there is no truth to what some media or social networking sites about Qatar fertilizer and rummage Iran because we stopped imports since the Basra plant began production of urea.


"Baghdad suspended transport operations to Diyala, Kirkuk, Baghdad and Salahuddin in the last period but we got approval from the Prime Minister to resume delivery of material to those areas."


He was Deputy from Basra, Jamal almhamdaoi, called, Monday, (September 19, 2016), government purchase of urea stock jammed in southern fertilizer company stores worth 20 billion dinars by damaged, with the Agriculture Ministry accused foreign product purchase on account of national product, called on the Government to encourage the national product and stop importing fertilizers from abroad.
