US officials: Start editing Mosul next month

Shafaq News / The White House announced that President Barack Obama will meet Monday Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi on the sidelines of United Nations General Assembly in New York.
He noted Obama adviser Ben Rhodes that the two leaders will discuss the fight against Daesh, especially the ongoing preparations for the battle of the restoration of Mosul, Iraq's second largest city and the last bastions of the organization in Iraq.

In a related context, the network "CNN" revealed, citing officials at the US Department of Defense, that the battle for the restoration of Mosul will begin next month, and that the preparations for this battle is taking place in full swing.

In a report, "CNN's" made it clear that it will send additional forces, US Special Operations to assist in military operations, and by offering advice to the Iraqi units that will participate in the entry of Mosul, where it will be advisers closer to the front lines, puts them at greater risk, according to the number of US defense officials.

US aircraft also will begin to launch sorties from Qayyarah military base south of Mosul over the next few days.
