Kurdistan's health: Baghdad provided us with about 50% of our dues

Kurdistan Health Minister rikot Rasheed, Wednesday, the Federal Government provided about 50 percent of its dues from pharmaceuticals and medical supplies, noting that the health institutions in the region suffered from great stress.

Rashid said at a press conference following the opening of specialized centres for kidney disease, skin diseases and Sumerian attended news, that "the Federal Government didn't provide us only about 50% of our dues of pharmaceuticals and medical supplies," at the same time, noting that "our relationship with Baghdad are good but they also suffer from technical and financial problems."


Rashid added that "Kurdistan is forced to buy drugs and medical supplies for the team needs," pointing out that "corporate debt has nearly 100 billion dinars for the years 2014-2015 and 2016.

Rashid said that "health institutions in Kurdistan suffered from great stress due to increasing numbers of displaced and refugees", noting that "there is in Kurdistan more than 1.7 million displaced people and refugees, and accounted for 30% of the inhabitants of the territory".
