German army announced on Wednesday that it has resumed shipments of arms to the Kurdistan region after the government pledged to ensure it not end up selling weapons on the black market.

A spokesman for the German Defense Ministry said Berlin delivered 70 tons of weapons including 1500 rifles, 100 rocket fired from the shoulder and three armored vehicles to the Kurdistan Regional Government in Arbil on Tuesday.

Germany was halted arms shipments in January after media reports show some of the weapons that were sent to Kurdistan to help fight Daesh for sale on the black market.
