Belgium provided 13.5 million euros to support the reconstruction of Iraq

Belgium on Friday announced the allocation of 13.5 million euros in humanitarian aid to provide vital support to vulnerable groups in Iraq as well as the Syrian refugees.

The foreign and development ministers Albalijakian Didier Raandr and Alexander de Crow in a joint statement that their countries also want to contribute to the stabilization and reconstruction of the areas liberated from the control of the organization Daash in Iraq.

He added "Our country does not provide humanitarian aid, but it also militarily active in the international coalition against al Daash."

The two ministers stressed that Belgium supports all political efforts that are working to reach a solution to the conflicts in the region.
