Revealed in a committee member of the parliamentary economy, on Wednesday that the annual tax revenue accounts for about 7% of the general budget of the country

The committee member said Karim al-Naqib said the taxes collected from citizens is not enough to supplement the budget that state the fact that these taxes are irregular and not subject to the standards fixed when they meet, especially taxes that are imposed on goods at border crossing points, indicating that some of these ports are not subject to government control.

He added that the size of the tax revenue is an indication of how the economy develops or not, as the economic, agricultural, industrial and other activities, whenever they are more productive and able to compete with foreign goods similar, whenever helped to increase tax revenue further, and this is what helps to cover overheads

He pointed out that the weakness of the Iraqi economy is due to several reasons for a decline to cover the overhead of local resources, since it is known that the Iraqi economy and relies too heavily to finance the general budget on oil resources, returned this thing catastrophic mistake.
