Foreign Minister Dr. Ibrahim Al - Jaafari, on Sunday, that the work and investment opportunities in Iraq is open to Canadian companies to contribute to the support of the Iraqi economy. A statement by the Foreign Ministry, said al - Jaafari , the Canadian ambassador to Iraq , Bruno Sakumana received on the occasion of ending his tenure, and during the meeting , they discussed bilateral ties and means of strengthening them to serve the interests of the two friendly peoples. For his part , Canada 's ambassador to Iraq Bruno Sakumana stressed that Iraq is fighting terrorist Daash gangs not only in his own defense, but on behalf of the whole world, pointing out that Canada appreciates what endures Iraq sacrifices in the face of terrorism; which made Canada one of the top five countries provide assistance to Iraq in various fields, adding that his country is seeking to establish long - term cooperation with Iraq, noting that the exchange of visits between officials of both countries had a significant impact in increasing the volume of trade and investment in order to serve the interests of the two friendly peoples.
