Baghdad (AIN) –The President, Jalal Talabani, and the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, discussed the political updates and the achievements accomplished by Iraq due to holding the Arab Summit in Baghdad.
A Presidential statement cited "Talabani received Maliki where both sides reviewed the importance of developing relations between the Central Government and the Kurdistani Regional Government," noting that "They stressed settling the disputes through the national understanding and by adhering to the Iraqi constitution."
"They confirmed the necessity of consolidating the historical alliance between the Iraqi National Alliance and the Kurdistani Alliance," the statement added.
"Both sides share identical views during the meeting," the statement concluded. /End/
