The United Nations Children's Fund announced Wednesday, at least 20 000 children trapped inside the city of Fallujah.
And said representative organization in Iraq Peter Hawkins in a statement that "according to UNICEF estimates (organisation) there are at least 20 000 children trapped inside the city.
Hawkins, said that "children are at risk of forced recruitment and heightened security pressures, adding to the isolation from their families.
He continued, "that child soldiers find themselves forced to take up arms and fight in a war of adults and their lives and their futures at risk."
UNICEF renewed its call for "establishing security corridors to allow civilians to escape from Fallujah."
