Kuwait offers $ 200 million in aid to displaced families in Basra

It concluded Kuwait campaign for the distribution of humanitarian aid , including all the displaced families in the province of Basra in southern Iraq, come the aid allocated by Kuwait in the framework of a donation has already been announced by the Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al - Ahmad Al - Jaber Al - Sabah $ 200 million to support displaced Iraqis and ease their suffering.

According to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) , Consul General of Kuwait in Basra Yousef Ashour Sabbagh said in a statement that the aid , which was distributed in two installments in coordination between the consulate and the Red Crescent Society of Kuwait and in cooperation with the Red Crescent Society in Basra aimed primarily to meet the needs of 3,300 displaced families in Basra.

He pointed out that there are logistical and medical assistance will be distributed to other displaced people in the coming days after a study of the vital needs of the people displaced by the Red Crescent Society of Basra branch.
