Parliament enters the legislative recess and has the right to convene the special sessions only

BAGHDAD / ... declared legal expert Tareq Harb, Thursday, that the Parliament has entered the legislative recess since the beginning of this month, while stressing that the House of Representatives the right to hold a special sessions only.

He said the war's "Eye of Iraq News" that "Parliament has entered the legislative recess since the beginning of this month," noting that "the House of Representatives did not exercise legislative term expired to extend for a month extra."

He said the legal expert that "the House of Representatives the right to hold a special sessions only at the invitation of the three presidencies or at the request of the 50 vice," adding that "the special sessions devoted to the discussion of a specific topic."

And he favored the House of Representatives decision of Imad Youkhana, Saturday (April 30, 2016), the extension of the House of Representatives legislative term and postpone his vacation for a month because of the political and security situation in which the country is going through, as explained that the presidency of the parliament will decide during the hearing.

According to Article 58 / II of the Iraqi constitution that "the extension of the legislative season for the Council of Representatives shall not exceed thirty days to accomplish the tasks that require this, at the request of the President of the Republic or the Prime Minister or the President of the House of Representatives, or fifty members of the Council.
