The recovery of tourism in Kurdistan after the imposition of restrictions in Turkey

The Director of the Tourism Authority in the province of Arbil Minh Ismail Khan, said Friday that tourist traffic in the Kurdistan region has seen huge demand by tourists after Turkey imposed restrictions on the movement of tourists as a result of the bombings that recently took place.



Khan said, "The province of Arbil, saw a high turnout of Arab and foreign tourists after their reluctance to go to Turkey as a result of the security tensions taking place in addition to the restrictions imposed by the competent authorities on the movement of tourists that, which has contributed to the recovery of tourists in the province of Kurdistan movement."



He added that "the tourist sites in the province of Arbil, saw a large turnout of Arab and foreign tourists after the great facilities provided by the concerned authorities in the province in a move aimed at encouraging tourist traffic and receiving tourists from inside and outside Iraq by land and air."



Khan said that "the beauty of nature from the plains, valleys and mountains in the tourist sites in the province of the main attractions for tourists and businesses Arab and foreign," noting that "the provincial government is working hard to create all appropriate atmosphere for tourists despite the security tensions taking place in some of the nearby province of provinces Kurdistan. "
