Said Chinese Ambassador to Iraq Chen Wei Qing, Wednesday, that the trade exchange between Iraq and China amounted to US $ 20 billion over the past year, while calling for strengthened relations between the two countries in various fields.

He pointed out that "trade between Iraq and China amounted to US $ 20 billion over the past year," noting that "China has become a major trade partner of Iraq."

It is worth mentioning that the Iraqi government has signed with its Chinese counterpart, the (December 22, 2015), five agreements and memoranda of cooperation between the two countries in various fields.
