Amman, March 29 (Reuters) - Finance Minister Hoshiyar Zebari said on Tuesday that Iraq expects to receive financial aid worth $ 6.4 billion in 2016 from donors and international institutions.

Zebari told Reuters after talks with officials from the International Monetary Fund in Jordan, "This year we expect from them and from other financial institutions and donors about $ 6.4 billion."

Zebari did not give further details but said Iraq will begin talks with the International Monetary Fund next month on loan demand to help the country to cope with an economic crisis caused by falling oil prices and the high cost to fight the organization of the Islamic state.
