The Ministry of Commerce, on Monday, announced the arrival of two ships to the port of Umm Qasr loaded with Canadian wheat imported to calculate the ministry for distribution to citizens within the ration items.

He pointed out, that "the leadership of the ministry is following those proceedings with interest the authorities concerned and in conformity with the legal requirements of the contract and that will ensure the provision of matching material to the approved specifications of the Iraqi side in this."
He called on regulators to "cooperation and coordination with food companies and not to prejudge before the advent of laboratory test results, as well as to intensify their oversight role and inspection and to ensure the arrival of material to the citizen with the same specifications and good qualities and without manipulation of any party, whether from inside or outside the ministry."
