The White House said in a statement that Obama telephoned Erdogan which show the tension that exists between Turkey and Iraq on the back of the deployment of Turkish troops near Mosul.
The statement added that Obama called Erdogan to "take additional steps to ease tensions with Iraq, including the follow-up to the withdrawal of Turkish troops and respect for the sovereignty and unity of Iraq."
