Demonstrators defiant editorial: come, o Green

(Voice of Iraq) – Baghdad hundreds of citizens and civilian activists Friday staged a demonstration in central Baghdad's Tahrir square to demand "bread and freedom, civil State", and chanting "come o green" in reference to their determination to move towards the green zone, while Theatre presence of protesters from other provinces.

Alsumaria news reporter said that hundreds of citizens and civilian activists demonstrated, this afternoon, in Tahrir square in central Baghdad to demand "bread and freedom, civil State and social justice", adding that the demonstrators unfurled banners demanding accountability of corrupt officials and provide services.

He added that liberalization protesters chanting "come o green" in reference to their determination to move towards the green zone to demand that the Government and Parliament to implement reforms, noting that the square has seen presence of protesters from other provinces.

Experiencing cities weekly protests demanding reform and eradicate corruption, Baghdad is witnessing a demonstration in Tahrir square in the downtown area of the Eastern door to deliver ballots to decision-makers and express their indignation to the conditions of the country.
