Iraqi oil exports increased in January 2012

BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: The Iraqi Oil Ministry spokesman declared today that Iraqi oil exports increased in January, in comparison to December 2011, by 63 million dollars.

Spokesman Asim Jihad told Aswat al-Iraq that oil exports for January last reached to 7.12 billion dollars compared to 7.06 in December last.

Exports reached to 65.3 million barrels, which were sold for a price of 109.081 dollars per barrel.

He pointed out that southern port of Basra exported 53.1 million barrels, for the amount of 5.81 billion dollars, while Kirkuk exported 12.2 million barrels for an amount of 1.31 million dollars.

Jihad added that 29 international companies bought the Iraqi oil, including European, Asian and American companies.
