Ministry of Planning: low inflation index last month increased by 0.1% and the annual rate increase (1.6% )



Shafaq News / The Ministry of Planning announced on Sunday that the inflation index for last October decreased by (0.1%) compared with September of the previous year,

while the annual inflation index, rose 1.6%, confirming that the mentioned survey-priced month- did not include three Iraqi provinces because of the security situation witnessed in those provinces.

The spokesman of the ministry , Abdul Zahra al-Hindawi said in a statement received by Shafaq News, that "the Central Bureau of Statistics of the Ministry completed the inflation report for last October in 2015 on the field basis data collected on the prices of goods and services components of the consumer basket from a selected sample of outlets in all provinces of Iraq ", noting that" these rates calculated goods and services that include food, rent, transportation, communications, health, education and other, which include what the consumer keeps. "

"The monthly inflation index of last October dropped by 0.9%, while the" annual inflation index during the last twelve months from October 2014 to October 2015 increased by 1.6% influenced by a rise in prices of housed by 3.2% in October of 2015 compared with the same month of last year. Hindawi pointed out that "the survey which was conducted during last October did not include three Iraqi provinces because of the security situation witnessed in those governorates of Nineveh, Salahuddin and Anbar", pointing out that "the inflation index rose last October by 0.1% compared to June of the previous year at a rate of 1.6% for July 2014 ".

It is worth noting that inflation for September index has witnessed also a drop at a rate of (0.6%), while annual inflation rose by 2.1% due to higher prices of food section and non-alcoholic beverages by (2.5%) as high section housing prices rose 3.2% , while the foundation inflation index fell during September by (0.2%)
