Hamoudi to UN official: Iraqis are not as they were in 2006



Alsumaria News / Baghdad - Said Vice President of the House of Representatives Hamoudi, Thursday, that the Iraqis are not as they were in 2006, pointing out that people "very sensitive" internal interference from it.

Said Hamoudi's office said in a statement Alsumaria News received a copy of it, "Hamoudi discussed with Georgi Austin political Assistant Special Envoy of the Secretary-General of the United Nations Ban Ki-moon, the latest political developments and the problem of water in Basra," noting that "Austin gave an explanation about what the Organization Mission International in Iraq with respect to projects of national reconciliation and the problem of water in Iraq, especially Basra."

And on the conference which intends UN residence in Cairo on national reconciliation, which overruled the decision of the Iraqi National Alliance, said Hamoudi, said that "Iraqis now are not as they were in 2006, it has been strengthened confidence and changed souls and people are very sensitive of interference of internal about it until about a positive."

The prime minister Haider al-Abadi, and his deputy resigned Bahaa al confirmed earlier in the day Thursday, the importance of establishing the principles of natioal reconciliation, and stressed the need to overcome the mistakes of the past and create a state of political consensus and collaboration.
