Minister of industry and trade of Jordan Maha Ali, said Wednesday it was following with interest the reopening of the border with Iraq and resume exports.
She said during her meeting with the President of the Iraqi Business Council n_ziimez Council members, said that "the Government is following with interest the Iraqi side to reopen the border between the two countries as soon as possible to facilitate cross Jordanian exports that have been damaged as a result of the closure of the border post.
"The Jordanian Government is keen to support and remove any obstacles facing investors", noting "a package of measures to stimulate the different economic sectors and enhance their competitiveness and improve the business environment and to meet the challenges, particularly the consequences of regional circumstances."
In reply to interventions by the President and members of the Iraqi Business Council, said Jordanian Minister of industry that "Iraqi investments in Jordan focus and appreciated by the Government, which is aware of the challenges they face and other Jordanian factories due to the closure of the crossing at the border post with Iraq where many rely on the Iraqi market to market their products.
She stressed that "all relevant government agencies are working in coordination with the representative bodies of the private sector to address any obstacles to investment projects in various fields."
The Government is also working to diversify energy sources and alternative energy transformation including industrial sector and other sectors to reduce commissioned production ".
The Chairman and members of the Iraqi Business Council during the meeting some problems faced by their investments, the Ministry will follow up with the institutions concerned.
