Iraqi Minister of Interior announces agreeing with Kurdistan region on the unified card project

Baghdad: Iraq’s Minister of Interior, Mohammed Salem Al -Ghabban announced an agreement with Kurdistan Region’s authorities on technical and logistical matters for the issuance of a unified national card there. According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Interior, Ghabban presided over the weekly meeting of the Higher Committee for the national card, which included the general director of citizenship and a number of concerned parties for the project. The statement quoted the minister as saying that some sites have been detected that will be working on the national card draft and that these sites will be fixed and others are will be alternative in the capital Baghdad. Ghabban added that it should be focused in the media on the release of issuing mechanism so that the citizen would be aware of all the information related to the process of issuing the card.
