Baghdad (NINA) – Prime Minister, Nouri Al Maliki, called for “activating all contracts signed with the South Korean side as well as supporting the projects agreed on.”

A statement issued by Maliki’s office quoted him as stressing, during reception of the Korean State Minister for Defense Industries, No De Le, today and present by Iraqi Acting Defense Minister, Sadoun Al Dulaimi, “accelerating providing Iraq with the military training planes and cooperation in other arming domains.”

For his part, the Korean minister expressed “his country’s readiness and willingness to develop relations with Iraq in all domains especially in arming domain,” adding “Korea will work on applying the agreements reached between the two countries during Maliki’s visit to Korea.”

Maliki visited Korea on the 27th of last April to discuss bilateral relations and the Korean companies investments in Iraq.
