He stressed Iraqi Foreign Minister Ibrahim al-Jaafari, on Sunday, on the need to adopt dialogue between the Yemeni parties and non-interference of any state of internal affairs of Yemen, and with Iraq's readiness expressed to intervene to resolve the Yemeni crisis that Sanaa requested, affirmed his country's keenness to deepen relations between the two countries. The statement added that he "was discussed the Iraqi - Yemeni relations, the two sides agreed on the need to improve relations between the two countries to serve the two brotherly peoples, as well as discuss the security developments in the two countries."
The al-Jaafari, according to the statement "the importance of the adoption of dialogue between the parties to the Yemeni conflict," returned to "what happens Yemen - Yemeni issue which can reach understandings contribute to establish security and stability in the country."
He said al-Jaafari told his Yemeni counterpart "should stand historic pause to stop the state of dilapidation of the situation and that the best solution to your cause lies in the adoption of dialogue," explaining that "Iraq's position on what is happening in Yemen stems from the Constitution, which is not to accept the interference of any state in the affairs of another state."
He showed al-Jaafari, "Iraq's readiness to contribute to resolving the crisis in Yemen if so requested," calling for "the need to convene the Joint Commission, and the readiness of Iraq for all that would strengthen relations between the two brotherly countries."
For his part, Yemen's Foreign Minister Riad Yassin "his country's keenness to deepen relations between the two countries, and stabilization service for the two peoples."
