Economic Adviser: some banks failed for reasons beyond its control

BAGHDAD / Center Brief for the Iraqi Media Network (IMN) - Economic Adviser in the Council of Ministers confirmed the appearance of Mohammed Saleh said that there are some government banks failed in its banking for reasons beyond its control, pointing out that the central bank works on the integrity of banks and assurance for the safety of cash in it. He said Saleh's (IMN) said that "some government banks borrow from the central bank in order to preserve financial market stability in Iraq." The Deputy Chairman of the Iraqis and industrialists Economists Association on behalf of Jamil Antoine, last month, raising the inter proposals to the Council of Ministers to improve the performance of the agricultural, industrial, real estate and housing fund of the bank. Saleh added that "the Central Bank is working to exchange financial loans to banks and community banks, industrial, agricultural and housing to support the liquidity of the economy in Iraq." And called for the economic and investment commission in Parliament last week, the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers to send a draft central bank law and banks and government for the purpose of modified and approved by the Parliament.
