The Iraqi Council of Ministers approved in February 2015, a draft of the National Guard law and referred it to the parliament for a vote.
The Presidency of the Council of Representatives, in (8 September 2015), decided to postpone the 19th session of the first legislative term of the second legislative year to Wednesday due to differences on the draft law of the National Guard.
The Presidency of the Council of Representatives of Iraq lifted, in the 30th of August 2015, the meeting of the 18 of the first legislative term of the second legislative year to Tuesday, (the eighth month of September 2015), after the vote on the National Guard law until further notice, and vote on salary payments IDP areas of the organization (Daash) and an end to the second reading of three draft laws and postpone reading four laws.
