Iraqi political figures supporting Medhat al-Mahmood against demonstrators

It seemed two leading figures in the popular crowd Hadi al-Amiri, Abu Mahdi Mohandes during their meeting the President of the Supreme Judicial Council, Medhat al-Mahmoud, Tuesday, support the Iraqi judiciary and "not to allow any party to interfere in its independence," while deplored "what some have raised against the judiciary."
She said the judiciary in a statement today, said that "the President of the Supreme Judicial Council, Medhat al-Mahmoud, received, today, leaders of the popular crowd Hadi al-Amiri, Abu Mahdi Mohandes."
She added that the authority "Ameri and engineer eternally full support to the Iraqi judiciary and its symbols and not to allow any party to interfere in its independence," indicating that they "deplored what some have raised against the judiciary."
It is said that dozens of people demonstrated on Monday (August 31, 2015) in front of the Supreme Judicial Council building in Baghdad to demand the resignation of President of the Council Medhat al-Mahmoud and make real reforms in the judiciary.
The Prime Minister called Haider al-Abadi, in (14 August 2015), the judiciary to carry out a series of "drastic measures" to confirm the prestige of the judiciary and its independence, pointing out that the broad reforms called for by requiring fair and firm justice.
