Peshmerga progress in Kirkuk and regain villages from ISIS

Shafaq News / A military source said that Peshmerga forces have liberated a number of villages that were controlled by ISIS terrorists in Kirkuk province.



A military operation has been launched to Liberate areas in Kirkuk that are still under ISIS control.

The source told Shafaq News, that the villages that were liberated are in Daquq and Tuz Khurmato.

He added that Peshmerga forces killed dozens of ISIS elements.

Peshmerga forces seek under air cover of the coalition, to defeat ISIS militants from the villages in the south of the province near Kurdistan Region.

The international coalition, led by the United States has launched a series of ground offensive of air strikes on the militants' positions, who control several towns and villages in Kirkuk province.

Since the fall of scattered areas north of Iraq and west of it by ISIS almost a year ago, the Iraqi government forces and Kurdish Peshmerga are trying, with the support of the coalition to launch raids to expel militants.
