Iraqi forces liberate 70% of Karma District, 1500 families returned to their areas
(IraqiNews.com) Anbar – Mayor of Karma District Ahmed Halbusi announced the liberation of 70 percent of the district, noting that 1,500 families have returned after the liberation of their areas.
Halbusi stated in an interview for IraqiNews.com, “The security forces, backed by al-Hashed al-Sha’bi and tribal elements of the clans, were able to liberate 70 percent of Karma District (53 km east of Ramadi),” noting that, “The remaining part under ISIS control is the center of the district.”
Halbusi added “About 1,500 families from the people of Amer, al-dhabtih, al-Raud, al-mashaniah and al-Jazeera neighborhoods have returned to their houses after the liberation of their areas.”
