Presidency of Republic denies sending request from Masum to keep one of his deputies in office
Shafaq News / The Media Chancellery in the presidency denied that the President , Fuad Masum has sent a request to the Iraqi Parliament to consider keeping one of his deputies in office.
The Iraqi Parliament has voted on Tuesday on the reform package presented by Prime Minister , Haider al-Abadi as one of its clauses included exempt vice president and Deputies of the Head of the government.
The chancellor said in a statement that it denies categorically fully what some of the media and social networking sites said about the President of the Republic Fuad Masum sending a request to the Parliament to keep one of his deputies in office.
The chancellor explained that Masum didn’t send a request of this kind and did not nominate anyone to stay in the position, calling on the media to contact them to make sure from any information before publishing them and to be committed to the profession and the right of publication.
A political source revealed on Wednesday, that the President Fuad Masum has sent a request to the Iraqi Parliament to keep one of his deputies.
